With the beginning of the year, I am proud to find 4 more small guppies swimming in my tank. This week I went to buy a piece of wood for place inside, so that the fishes can swim underneath the wood and as the same time increase the landscaping of my tank. To-date there is only 1 type of plant that is lasting to grow inside my tank. I grew it in my garden and then into my fish tank. Save money right? This is the plant. This is the plant. Able to buy it in most shop and even plants corner in some supermarket. Cost abot $2 per pot in CheersStore plants section.

Will upload my fish tank pictures later.

Last Sat set up a fish tank for my son. We brought those $1 per pack of swordtail. Since last night only 3 fishes left, 7 died. Can you guess what happened last night. After pouring away about 2/3 of the water, I spotted some small fishes (baby fry) swimming in the container. Hence I decided to keep one of the surving and pregnant fish into the small container. This morning before work I spotted small fishes swimming in the container. Afraid the mummy would eat its young I shifted the big back. Tonight I changed the tank again to a bigger one I got from my parents' place.

The guppy (Poecilia reticulata), also known as the millionfish,[1] is one of the most popular freshwater aquarium fish species in the world. It is a small member of the Poecilidae family (females 4-6 centimetres long, males 2½–3½ centimetres long) and like all other members of the family, is live-bearing.

How then I know that the males are so much shorter than females. Think I have more females guppies than the male ones. Maybe I should scoop them out and replace with more males. Afterall the male ones are much more colourful.

Once again I set up my little aquarium.
This time round I only keep guppies... like their colourful tails.
However, a few died while adjusting to suits the environment. Wonder if it have any doing with the filter water or not.
