Last night, clumsy me had a GREAT FALL. Now ended up with a BIG BALL on my forehead, cut on my lip and also loosen teeth. *sob sob*

Until now, the ball on my forehead still pain pain when touch upon. Hopefully it would have that ugle blueblack appear. This is what i found on the web:

Bruises Treatment

Self-Care at Home

The treatment for a bruise is most effective right after the injury while the bruise is still reddish.

A cold compress such as an icepack or a bag of frozen peas should be applied to the affected area for 20-30 minutes in order to speed healing and reduce swelling. Do not apply ice directly to the skin. Wrap the icepack in a towel.
If the bruise takes up a large area of the leg or foot, the leg should be kept elevated as much as possible during the first 24 hours after the injury.
Acetaminophen or ibuprofen may be taken for pain as instructed on the bottle. Avoid aspirin because aspirin slows the blood from clotting and may, in fact, prolong the bleeding.
After about 48 hours, heat in the form of a warm washcloth applied to the bruise for 10 minutes or so 2 or 3 times a day may increase blood flow to the bruised area allowing the skin to reabsorb the blood more quickly. Ultimately, the bruise will fade in color.

Did you check the 4D result yesterday? Here is the top 3.

4D Wed 27/06/2007
1st Prize: 6904
2nd Prize: 6904
3rd Prize: 7173

How can that be right? 1st and 2nd prize the same number? I am wondering the roller got so accurate to have the 4 balls come out the same sequence? One roll after another.

Whoever who brought this set of numbers "6904" must be laughing with all his/her hearts as it is a windfall of $3000 for every $1 bet.

(Extracted from YogaJournal) Thanks to a friend for sharing with me.

Ever feel so stressed that you wanted to scream? A good shout can literally help you blow off steam, releasing pent-up frustrations and leaving you spent, relaxed, and calm. We are often taught, in our society, to hold all our emotions in and to betray no trace of frustration or exhaustion. But it can be much healthier just to let it out!

In yoga we sometimes mimic the roar of a lion in particular, but any roar or shout will help you reduce stress throughout the day. Some good places to try this include the shower, in traffic, or in the privacy of your bedroom. If others are around, it's helpful to alert them first—because it can sound alarming! And if you're driving, of course, make sure to watch the road as you sound your lungs.

----------------------------------------
P/S: No wonder on the show, at times you will observe the scene that the actor or actress go to the place near the airport or the railway track or a plot of empty land there to SCREAM OUT LOUD! Actually in real life I do not know if anyone really does that. All I know is that people do scream at one another when there is arguement. At times worst fighting came into place.

Sob sob, I didn't get to sleep well last night for whatever reason. Wonder if I am going to fall sick soon. I am sweating in an air-con room while I am sleeping! Maybe due to my dream who knows.

You know what I dreamt?

I dreamt that I am having a 2.4km run. In this dream, I actually was the 1st few to run in the race managed to did very well for the first half of the race. Then there is this overhead bridge that I need to run across, as usual lazy me then stop and take time to decide which is the SHORTEST way. In the mist of deciding, I met my secondary friends who were also in the race - my monitor and a few others! Think we all last seen each other was during the collection of our O level results! So ended up we spend quite a fair bit of time updating each other lives and doing for the past few years. Time flies lor.

Like the story of the hare and the tortise, should you know what happen to me in the race. Ended up I am the last few to have complete the race. :( Managed to complete just in time before the race end.

Then suddenly woke up and toss here and there unable to sleep as I am trying to figure out why I have lost in the race.

Maybe too pressurized by work.

Yeah! Found on the web, some eco-friendly and economical alternative to conventional and potentially harmful cleaning products. Sharing with all of you!

All-purpose cleaner• Mix vinegar and salt for a good surface cleaner.
• Pour some baking soda and vinegar on a damp sponge. It will clean and deodorize all kitchen and bathroom surfaces.

Deodorizer• Place partially filled saucers of vinegar around the room.
• Boil 1 tablespoon of vinegar in 1 cup of water to eliminate unpleasant cooking odours.
• Baking soda is excellent for absorbing odours.

Removing crayon marks
• Crayon marks on the floor or table can be removed by rubbing them with some toothpaste on a damp cloth. Don't use this on wallpaper or porous surfaces.

Removing grease spots
• Immediately pour salt on grease spots to absorb and prevent staining.

Removing scratches
• Mix equal parts of lemon juice and vegetable oil, and rub against scratches with a soft cloth until they disappear.

Laundry starch
• Dissolve 1 tablespoon of cornstarch in 2 cups of cold water. Place in a spray bottle. Shake well before using. Make sure to label this so you don't use it for cleaning.

Oven cleaner
• While the oven is still warm, pour some salt on grimy areas. If the areas are dry, dampen with water before applying the salt. When the oven cools down, scrape the grime off and wash clean.
• Spray grimy areas with water or vinegar-water and apply a layer of baking soda. Rub gently with fine steel wool and wipe off. Rinse with water and wipe dry.

Toilet bowl cleaner
• Sprinkle baking soda into the bowl, then drizzle with vinegar and scour with a toilet brush. This combination both cleans and deodorizes. (Note: DO NOT mix the combination with store-bought toilet cleaners. The combination will create toxic fumes.)

Glass cleaner
• Mix equal amounts of water and vinegar in a spray bottle. Wipe the glass with newspaper for a streak-free shine.

There is a book written by Gary Chapman - The 5 love languages... it tells you how to speak your spouse's love language.

This is the first time i heard of it, told by my fren - Alvina.

The 5 love languages is...
1) Speech
2) Physical Touch
3) Service (like doing housework for you)
4) Gift
5) Quality Time

Which you prefer your spouse to clock his/her hours to. Do make a point to tell him.
I will now start to think.

Now I have to dig up the history and tell the story again. sob sob.

Even though people can learn through history lesson, but many situation have shown that history do REPEAT ITSELF. Agree or not?

I had made a mixed fruit bread using the sesame bread recipe using my breadmachine last sunday. It turns our delicious that when I eat the bread, I can smell the cirtris fruit smell and taste. I love it alot. Will update the photos here when I downloaded from my camera. Now too lazy. :P

Last Sunday was Father's Day!
Well we at least make a point to go back to my in-law's place.
Last went there was during Mother's Day! Good huh? :P

Come to think of it our once a time monthly meal there was much much more expensive than what the top resturant offers for 3 person. Anyway, what to do. :P Cannot say not to give them money right? Afterall my mother-in-law is the one who keep reminding us that they supported my hubby through his education. Many times I would feel like just telling them off that they only supported my hubby until he finished his JC. His university tutition fees was like a loan from them instead of from the bank that's all. I still remembered clearly that just about 1 month or so after he had finished his univeristy, his mother presented a recipt from CPF board to tell my husband to return the amount that he had used for his university. My goddness! As you know CPF board also include interest what. So what's the difference between borrowing from the bank and from the them? They should have stated to my hubby clearly in the 1st place if they are loaning him or sponsoring him. I am glad that my parents though not well-to-do still SPONSORED me my education. But my parents do not go around or rather keep reminding me unlike my mother-in-law.

Anyway, it is their household problem. I always told her that now do not expect the children to help you when you are old, even the government said so. I also tell her straight off that I cannot take care of old people for I am scared. Even when my grandmothers who are living years back, when they are sick I also keep away for I am scared of touching them..phobia , I myself also do not know why. So when she is old, it would be better to get her so-called very good daughter and son-in-law in her eyes to take care of her. I am a No-No person to this type of job :P

So much about the DIL-MIL complain...haha

Althought it was known as Pepper Lunch do not be mistaken that it was only meant for lunch only. It does operate during the night time for dinner.

Yesterday evening, my hubby had a wedding dinner. Do know whose wedding- his collegue think someone quite old. Anyway, my mum boycot and does not want to cook for us. LOL . So we went to Ang Mo Kio hub to have dinner. I was thinking about having pizza or japanese food. When I came across this "Pepper Lunch" i though why not this since I have been eyeing it for quite sometime back..haha...
This is what we ordered - Chicken Pepper Rice & the Combo Salmon Chicken Set.

It was fun and we were remindered that in Malacca we too had this. But somehow like different sauce. We enjoyed our meals very much. It was fun flipping the food in the hotpot.

Maybe my next kitchen gadget would be a hot plate to that I can have this type of fun at home. Hmmm...any idea where to get the hot plate and the sauces?

STEP 1: Start with the Downward Facing Dog Pose (Adho Mukha Svanasana).

STEP 2: Move your left foot forward for about 1 meter.

STEP 3: Put your left hand beside your foot and carry your weight with the lower back and on the heels of your foot in front. Raise the upper part of your body until the lower back is straight. You can recognize this by a groove in the middle of the lower back. The right foot (the one at the back) rests on the floor.

STEP 4: Stretch the leg which is in front without bending the back or twisting your body. With your back straight and your right hip stretched backward, look at a point on the ground and breathe in and out quietly. Press your left hand against the heel and twist your chest to the left. Let the twisting motion involve only your upper back while your hip, lower back, legs and head remain stationary. When you cannot twist any further, stretch your right arm upward.

STEP 5: Then twist your head to the left, look upward along your outstretched arm and stretch out your neck. When you stand well aligned in this position, it will feel light. The better you do this exercise, the bigger will be the triangle between your legs, arms and side are.

Step back towards the Downward Facing Dog Pose and repeat the exercise with your right leg in front.

Benefits:
In this exercise, you build up strength in the lower back and upper legs while you remove tension from the lower and upper back, the hips and the hamstrings through both the twist and the stretching. The exercise is good for your sense of coordination and sense of balance. You need a lot of concentration and precision to be able to carry it out correctly.

Have you ever ask youself this question?
I have always this feeling after I had my meals. During school time i still can afford to have a nap, but no longer so after working. Sigh!

Let us know more about it:
If you feel sleepy after eating, particularly after sweet or bakery products, you are normal. Eating sugary foods causes your brain to make large amounts of the neurotransmitter, serotonin, that makes people fall asleep naturally at night.

Eating sugary foods or those made from flour, such as bakery products or pastas, causes blood sugar to rise higher than normal. This causes your pancreas to release large amounts of insulin, which drives one of the protein building blocks called tryptophan from your bloodstream into your brain, where it is converted to serotonin that makes you feel sleepy.

Many people can avoid feeling sleepy after eating by restricting foods high in sugar and flour. When it is important for you to be alert, eat foods that do not cause a high rise in blood sugar, such as vegetable salads, nuts, seeds, meat, fish and chicken.

Now we all know, need to restrict our diet. Preventive measure.

Last Sat evening, I went for the "Pirate of the Caribbean" show with my family. It was a total free show as the tickets (3 extra were given by my other collegues). Thanks to those who give their tickets away for others to attend. A very good gesture right?

About the show click here

There were lotsa of creatures which look like the picture on the right hand side. Very ugly I find and I am scared of it, especially when those octupus legs started to moves...eeks!

Zhou Ren Fa acted in the show too, but his portion seems to be very little as the role he acted die quite early. Not like a hero in the show which will survive throughout all hardtimes. Anyway, I guess it might because he is an asian that's why they give him such a small role.

I too wonder why they want to set the scene to be in Singapore? Funny right? As if pirates only exist around this region. Wonder today still have priates or not?

Have you all been part of the exercise?
Well over here in my country is seems normal..since when I as young as 7 years old during my primary school days until today I still have that. Think the only time I didn't participate in the fire drill is during my university days and the times I am working off-site.

I still remembered that when in primary school, the school uncle would take a bell and ring it walking around the school compound to simulate the fire emergency alarm. Then when we are having class, we always wonder is it the ice-cream man ringing his bell or fire drill exercise. My teacher still need to walk out of the class to confirm before letting out us out to assemble at the school field.

These days, most of my fire drill exercise is during office hours. And you know what over here, fire drill exercise is being preplanned one. There will be a notification email sent out to the staff 1 week before stating the date and time of the fire drill. Then on the actual day few hours before hand we will receive another reminder email of the event later.

So last week, the fire drill exercise was suppose to be 1600Hrs. So at 1550 I saw most of my collegues going toliet, getting prepared for the exercise. Even attendance marking of who is in office and out of office today. Some even to the extend of standing near by the office door - this was the logistic manger himself, who is tasked to oversee the exercise of my company. When the bell for the fire drill exercise goes off, the lofistic manger just opened the door. Can you see such a coordinated fire drill exercise? While all of us meet at the office compound, the overall in-charge at my parent company level told us this year our evacation time is 12 mins, 3 mins worst than last year. Well well, can you see if it is a surprise fire drill or an actual one, do you think we would even achieve the 12 mins timing? I doubt so. Also the another thing to comment is that the assemble area is at the basketball court which is on the opposite side of the gates. If there is a real fire and we are all the gather there, it is of highly dangerous no doubt the fire station is only a few lanes away.

yes, it is friday again.

Yesterday I first time went back to that "Ulu place" to visit my collegues there.
That place have indeed changed very much from the exterior to the red colour flooring and to the basic toliet structure. Heard that the toliet bowl was jammed. Anyway, me still go back to my old time favourite toliet since it have been "tested" to be working fine for the last 2 years. It is always better to go for a more reliable one isn't it.

Need to comment also a few guys i met there was now skinner than before, others more healthy as they are doing exerciser during their lunch time. More fit ...wonder when I would be so motivated. :P

Managed to complete the work there on time hence today no need to visit there again.

Hmm...thinking what should i cook? It has been quite sometime since i last did my cooking. Any suggestion? Just now some collegues are talking about chicken rice.

For those who do not know what I am writing as I know my chinese may not up to the standard (likewise for my english), but who cares right? This is my blog what. It means: Put your curiousity aside, if others wish to share their information with you they will, else do not ever try to poke for information. Not all people like it. That includes me.

No doubt by human nature we are curious, but why bother to "dig" information here and there to piece up the story?

Few days back, someone told me another is getting married, just because she overheard a conversation between the person involved and another. Then this listener immediated called the rest to find out if others ever knew she is attached. My goddness, I can't believe that this person is such a KaPo Queen, so what if that girl is attached, getting married and which date. Does it impact your life?!? Life still goes on what. So what she knew all these informations? She going to attend the wedding with a BIG BIG Ang Pow? Funny right? If i would her i would just keep quiet and save a on my AngPow. hahah... But this friend of mine cannot stand not knowing much information go directly to the other to find out who is she seeing and when and how is her wedding. That makes the other party very pissed off too. Also she is formally "notifying" that gal, "I HAVE EARDROP YOUR CONVERSATION WITH ANOTHER PERSON", slapping her own face right?

我不知道迟到是不是一种习惯。
我不知道我是否会一直等下去,
我好害怕某天我不再等待了。
那时请你好好照顾自己,
不要再寻找我的踪迹。

See the above pose?
This is what is known as Sun Salutation.

Finally I have make it to my 1st yoga class last friday after a long consideration to take up an exercise..hahah.. I have an indian teacher, seems like more yoga teachers are indian maybe due to the yoga orgins. Anyway, I attended my class at the community centre. The course sppose to be for one and half hours, but then my teacher spent half an hour talking about the YOGA benefits and breathing. I nearly doze off then. Interesting to know about YOGA can do mircale in one life. According to the teacher it would heal illness, but at least it prevent the illness from getting worst. I also do not know how true is that.

We know what a bottle is and likewise a tree. But have you heard of Bottle Tree?
It is a tree shaped like a bottle, see as follow:

If you like to have more information about the bottle tree, you can click here:
About Bottle Tree

Seems nice and interesting wonder where can I plant one, but hor it does not seems to provide much shape especially in our HOT HOT weather.

I went to the Bottle Tree Park yesterday, nice place for the kids to roam around and have their "log-kang" fishing @ the price of $10 for whole day. Some adults are there doing their fishing @ $10 per day also at the big ponds or fishing prawns in the small one. Thought at the time i was there i saw all their pails are empty. :P

Wonder if can do shift work to utilise the $10 payment or not. I do not think I am able to fish for one whole day! Who wanna to partner me?

There is also play ground for kids, art n craft corner, some vegetables growing. On coming i see they are building a small farm and 4 room building like chalet.

We didn't lunch there as it was still early for lunch.

By the way, there are quite a few mangoes tress there which keep dropping..so I picked a few and baked a mango cake. Thanks to Bottle Tree Park for my mangoes. hahah

Here is the map to the place :

There is also a Bottle Tree Village located near Sembawang park as you can see from the map. Only accessibile by Taxi or car. It used to the Sembawang Sailing Club before it was changed into Bottle Tree Village. Quite a nice romatic setting in the evening there. I love it but the playground there quite small. It was like dinning by the sea view in open air one. Wonder what if it rain?!? :P

Bottle Tree Park is located in between Yishun and the Sembawang Air-base. While travelling on the mrt from Yio Chu Kang to Kabhit, before khatib mrt you would see it on your left side (opposite the Yishun Stadium). Alight at the khatib mrt and walk back 1 busstop, you would reach it. One can walk-in to Bottle Tree Park via their side gate there. If driving need to drive a small road opposite the the Sembawang Airbase. There is a small sign there.

Forgot to mention it was FREE to go into the two places.
Here is their website: Bottle Tree Village or Bottle Tree Park
